3-IN-1

This is a subject that is unique, and is by far, much too complex and difficult for us humans to understand fully. God is so far beyond our comprehension. But we believe His Word and we believe what He says about who He is. He is three distinct persons in ONE. He is Father, Son (Jesus), and Holy Spirit. What an amazing mystery!

As we read and study the Bible, asking for guidance from God the Holy Spirit, we gradually gain insight, understanding, wisdom and clarity, and we get to know Him better, in a very personal way.

In the beginning was the Word (Jesus), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things were created through Him, and apart from Him not one thing was created that has been created. In Him was life, and that life was the light of men. That light shines in the darkness, and yet the darkness did not overcome it. John 1:1-5 CSB

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the watery depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters. Genesis 1:1 CSB

“Then God said, ‘Let us make man in our image, according to our likenessThey will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, the whole earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.’” Genesis 1:26 CSB

The Holy Spirit descended on Him (Jesus) in a physical appearance like a dove. And a voice came from heaven (God the Father): “You are my beloved Son; with You I am well-pleased.” Luke 3:22 CSB

“. . . according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, to be obedient and to be sprinkled with the blood of Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 1:2 CSB

But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you. Jesus' words written in John 14:26 CSB

How astounding that this perfect and magnificent One loves us without reserve, and cares about every detail of our lives. And He longs for close, personal relationship with each one of us. He longs to FATHER US, to RESCUE US, and to COMFORT AND INSTRUCT US.
