The Double Helix Nebula is unique. Magnetic forces at the center of the galaxy have twisted a nebula into two intertwining strands wrapped around each other as in a DNA molecule. It’s about 80 light years long, and about 300 light years away from the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way.
Simply amazing!
