EYE OF GOD

The image of the eye-like Helix nebula is one of the most iconic. It's nicknamed “Eye of God” and is a bright planetary nebula located about 700 light-years away in the constellation Aquarius. It burns at 120,000 degrees Celsius and is a cylinder that happens to be pointed toward Earth. This nebula is also known as NGC 7293.

The likeness to an eye is astonishing! Maybe it’s meant
to remind us that God is always keeping watch over us.
