This pulsar wind nebula is known as PSR B1509-58, and is nicknamed Hand of God. It’s powered by the leftover dense core of a star that blew up in a supernova explosion. A small object only 12 miles in diameter is responsible for this beautiful X-ray nebula that spans 150 light years. It’s 17,000 light years away from Earth and spins rapidly at 7 times per second. Absolutely astounding!
God is showing us through a miraculous nebula that
HIs hand is immensely powerful. So awesome.
“The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
The skies display His craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make Him known.
They speak without a sound or word;
their voice is never heard. Yet their message
has gone throughout the earth,
and their words to all the world.
God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.”
Psalm 19:1-4 NLT
